Kathy Staub NH State Representative

Hillsborough District 25/ Manchester Ward 5

I was born and raised in this part of Manchester. My husband and I have lived in our house on Laurel Street for more than 40 years. It has been an honor to represent the residents of Ward 5 during this latest legislative session.

During my first term at the State House I never missed a session or a vote, and I never missed a committee meeting. I served on the Transportation Committee for the first year of the session and then moved over to the Committee on Labor, Industrial, and Rehabilitative Services.

I was the prime sponsor on two bills. My bill to raise the minimum wage failed by 5 votes. My bill to form a study committee to look at the impact of the housing crisis on people with disabilities was passed into law. The committee has begun meeting and I serve as the chair. Our preliminary report is due on November 1. I also co-sponsored a number of bills, most of which were directed at protecting tenants or increasing our state’s supply of housing.

Looking forward I would be honored to serve a second term as Ward 5’s representative. You can count on me to:
